This week Intel released the Limited Edition Core i9-9900KS for € 560,00. Roman also known as Der8auer tried to overclock this new cpu to it’s limits using only some dry ice, an Asus Maximus XI Extreme and eventually 1.60V+ Vcore. He did a nice job and reached a maximum frequency of 6300Mhz! Der8auer explains it seemed that at 1.55-1.56V the cpu could run 5.8Ghz all core as long as it was cold enough. Another 100Mhz increase meant the temperatures had to be even 15 degrees Celcius lower for operation at the same frequency which required him to use LN2 instead of dry ice.
