The most anticipated question regarding the 2nd generation Ryzen for us and many of you out there, was whether or not you would need an AMD X470 chipset to get most out of your new AMD Ryzen 5 2600(X) or Ryzen 7 2700(X) Cpu? Yesterday, a lot of reviews have been uploaded to Youtube regarding this new launch and mainly focussing on it’s performance, while leaving comparisons to the first generation Ryzen untouched. We have to complement Kyle from Bitwit answering our question above. As a matter of fact at this moment in time an AMD X370 combination beats 2nd generation Ryzen AMD X470 in most of his testing. Are new connectivity options as build in WIFI and USB 3.1 Gen2 the only benefits of acquiring an AMD X470? Maybe, but we have to see if future bios updates will improve upon this initial performance. We included the video of Bitwit below. Give him a thumbs up for the work!
